The Vancouver Cherry Blossom Festival is set to officially kick off on March 29th this year.
As a result of the early spring, the cherry trees are already in full bloom in many parts of the city. The planting of cherry trees on public streets is the cumulative achievement of many decades of dedicated work by the Vancouver Park Board, done over a number of generations. As we enjoy the beauty this spring, let’s spare a moment for a thought of gratitude for their efforts over the years.
