Vancouver Sun reports “Hail Mary” attempt to save Class A Heritage Legg Residence from demolition

Legg Residence from HarwoodJust this evening, the Vancouver Sun online reported a surprise attempt by concerned citizens to buy the Legg Residents property at 1241 Harwood in the West End. The City has already issued a demolition permit. Main points of the story:

  • Yaletown resident Scott Mackenzie hopes to put together a bid with other couples living downtown to buy the threatened Legg House in the West End — the house and entire lot. He hopes to hear back today from 5253 Investments Inc., which bought the double lot in 2004 for $2.7 million.
