VanMap is a Web-based application that lets you view data about Vancouver in map form.
The City’s GIS (Geographical Information Systems) department gathers information and data from a variety of sources, and constructs detailed map layers for you to view, save, and print out.
VanMap is a large part of the City’s overall open map strategy, along with Google maps for day-to-day user views.
Need zoning, sewer, or street information for building or renovating? Thinking of moving and not sure where the schools are located? Trying to remember exactly where that great looking park is located? VanMap can show you.
There are dozens of features you can turn on and off with the click of a button in VanMap. For example, you can view:
- Property lines
- Zoning information
- Sewer mains
- Water mains
- Information about addresses
- Public places
- Crime data
To see Zoning information in VanMap, zoom in, then click on the + beside Districts and Areas, then check the boxes for Zoning information.
