Welcome to the CityHallWatch “civic affairs calendar” on Google calendars. This calendar is specifically for meetings by City Council. Park Board, and School Board, plus advisory panels, boards, commissions, and committees.
Our goal in this is to promote more public awareness and engagement in our local government.
We welcome submissions to citizenYVR@gmail.com. Anyone is welcome to embed this calendar’s code into their blogs and websites, to share the calendar far and wide.
Note that the City of Vancouver, despite the large communications department, provides nothing like this calendar.

But the City does not provide a calendar like we do (Vancouver City Council, Park Board, and School Board, plus advisory panels, boards, commissions, and committees). The calendar just takes several minutes per month and can be done for free using Google Calendars. Perhaps citizens could encourage Mayor and Council to consider having City Hall provide a service like this.
