UPCOMING COUNCIL MEETING: JANUARY 20, 2011, 2:00pm – Implementation of “Vancouver Views” and Opportunities for Higher Buildings in Downtown
The report on the Implementation of the Vancouver Views Study will be before the Planning & Environment Committee on January 20, 2011 at 2:00pm. At that meeting, the Vancouver Views work will be considered by Council along with the recommendations of the closely related Historic Area Height Review. Staff will provide a joint presentation of the reports and Council will hear from public delegations for both reports prior to making their decisions. Should you wish to address Council on either of these issues, please feel free to contact Tina Hildebrandt at 604.873.7268 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org to be added to the speakers list.
Prior to next month’s meeting, Staff provided Council with a brief update on the implementation of the Vancouver Views Study at the Planning and Environment Committee Meeting on December 16, 2010 (Meeting Agenda). Included in this presentation was the proposed implementation of the New Views approved in principle by Council in January 2010, as well as proposed changes to the City’s General Policy for Higher Buildings. The complete video of the Council meeting is also available online.
