Note that in the early afternoon, CBC was reporting “Heavy traffic jams Elections BC website on voting day.”  Those seeking information on voting can also get questions answered by Elections BC officials on social media sites like Twitter, and by calling 1-800-661-8683.

Polls are open until 8 p.m.

From CBC: Polls are open across B.C. until 8 p.m. PT Tuesday.

Voting is quickest if you head to the voting place listed on your voter card, but registered voters from any riding can cast ballots at any voting place in the province.

Voters need to prove their identity with either one piece of government-issued photo ID, or with two other approved documents — one of which must have their current address — or by having another person vouch for them.
