These are not just two dudes chillin’ on a spring day.

Advance voting is now well underway, and May 9 is the official voting day for B.C. This 2017 provincial election is set to determine the future of this province for the next generation or more. One of the hottest election topics is political campaign contributions (e.g, see www.call4change.ca), so it is interesting that CityHallWatch sources this week observed two of the major financial supporters of Christy Clark’s  B.C. Liberal Party (as well as Gregor Robertson’s Vision Vancouver) getting together for lunch in Vancouver.

Bob Rennie (right in photo) was recently the fundraising chair of the BC Liberal party. Besides being a major political donor and fundraiser, Rennie is known as the “Condo King” for his marketing and influence in development industry.

Peter Wall (left in photo) is a major developer in the province, and as major supporter was also the one to escort the Premier Clark into the BC Liberals’ victory party at the Sheraton Wall Center in May 2013 after the last provincial election.

  1. I think it is time to ask potential BC governments to change the Vancouver Charter to election terms back to 2 year terms only!
