Information and Privacy Commissioner to release report about the City
of Vancouver’s FOI (Freedom of Information) program

On Thursday, June 23, at 9:30 a.m., B.C. Information and
Privacy Commissioner Elizabeth Denham will release a report entitled
Audit & Compliance Report F16-01: City of Vancouver Duty to Assist.

The report reviews the City of Vancouver’s duty to assist applicants in
exercising their access rights. The commissioner chose the City of
Vancouver as the subject of the review as the city manages the largest
volume of FOI requests compared to any other municipality.

Audit & Compliance Report F16-01: City of Vancouver Duty to Assist will
be available for download at 9:30 a.m. (Pacific time) on Thursday, June
23 at: https://www.oipc.bc.ca/report/audit-compliance/
