From City website: Larco Investments Ltd has applied to the City of Vancouver for permission to develop this site with a mixed-use building comprising office space, restaurant, and a grocery store on the ground floor; a below-grade self-storage facility, and seven floors of residential rental dwellings. The proposal includes the following:
- 215 residential units (100 non-market rental; 115 market rental);
- total gross floor area of 37,000m2, including 17,000m2 of commercial uses (grocery, restaurant, office, and below-grade self-storage facility); and
- 374 underground parking spaces, accessed off of proposed Yew Street extension.
This rezoning application was approved by City Council, following Public Hearing, on July 13, 2011. Among the conditions of Council’s approval, the applicant must obtain approval of a development permit. The Development Permit Board meeting is scheduled for this application on September 8, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. in the Town Hall Meeting Room (1st Floor, City Hall, 453 West 12th Avenue).
This development permit (DE418990) is for the first phase only of the larger Arbutus Mall redevelopment, at the north-east corner of the property, also known as “Block A”.
