The rezoning proposal for 275 Kingsway could set a precedent for all parts of the City for similar heights and densities. If approved, an 8.66 FSR, 139 foot tower could be proposed in the future for almost any arterial road within City limits. Are new Community Plans are basically meaningless or do they have teeth? City Council will decide the fate of the rezoning proposed for 275 Kingsway on February 17th at a Public Hearing.

The City of Vancouver recently referred a proposal for a very high density, 14-storey tower at 275 Kingsway to a Public Hearing on Tuesday, February 17th, 2015 starting at 6pm. Further details about the hearing can be found on the City’s website here (alternate address: 333 East 11th Avenue).
