Residents turned out in large numbers to show their support for keeping the existing off leash dog area at Trout Lake. The Stand in support to keep the Trout Lake Off Leash Dog Area as it is event took place on Sunday, April 27th, between 1 and 2pm.
While dogs don’t vote, their owners most certainly do. This show of force of hundreds of residents is a reminder. Citizens have until April 30th to comment on the draft Master Plan for Trout Lake (John Hendry Park). Organizers of the event were very much opposed to the proposed relocation and to the reduction in size of the existing off leash dog area. Residents can also contact their Park Board Commissioners directly to communicate their concerns with the current Trout Lake plan.
