Conference: “Why don’t more good people enter politics” (by UBC Political Science) Nov 24, 25

UBC Department of Political Science is organizing two events on this topic. On November 24 is a a public conversation with Former Prime Minister Paul Martin, moderated by CBC’s Ian Hanomansing, at the UBC Museum of Anthropology. On November 25 is a conference at UBC Robston Square with influential Canadian speakers.  Both events are full, with a waiting list. Both events are likely to produce video and a report for people who cannot attend. The events will promote discussions about the factors that motivate and deter individuals from participating in politics, and more importantly, what can be done about it.
